Portwise joins TIC 4.0 to drive innovation in cargo handling standards
Portwise is excited to announce its membership in the Terminal Industry Committee 4.0 (TIC 4.0), a global initiative committed to developing universal standards that promote seamless data exchanges and interoperability in the cargo handling sector.
With logistics under increasing pressure to improve efficiency and resilience, TIC 4.0 aims to unify communication protocols and operational definitions, making it easier and more cost-effective for terminals and equipment to connect and collaborate. This mission aligns closely with Portwise’s expertise in automation consulting, terminal planning and simulation, terminal decarbonisation and logistics optimisation.
“Joining TIC 4.0 strengthens our ability to contribute to the transformation of global logistics,” said Martijn Coeveld, Managing Director of Portwise. “By contributing to the development of universal standards, we are helping ports and terminals operate smarter, more sustainably, and with greater agility in the supply chain environment, today and in the future.”
By joining TIC 4.0, Portwise collaborates with other stakeholders in the terminal and logistics industry, collectively working towards more efficiency and resilience to future-proof the cargo handling industry.
